I notice there are a few separate threads where people are saying hi - perhaps we could put them all in one thread, eg this one. I think it would be nice to keep them all in one place so we can get to know each other with just one click! What do you think everyone?

Good idea
I guess I'll start then! I've been following G4 since they were mere boys, way back in their x factor days :-). I've made some lovely friends amongst fellow fans (although some are a pain in the *!*!, you know who you are! Tee hee) and I've introduced lots of people to G4's special 'music & magic' as I call it. I am very pleased that we have a forum and look forward to reading other posts.
Guys - maybe you could pin this to the top?
Great idea
I have been a delicated supporter since X Factor
I probaly driven the lads crazy with all my posts
Hi Natalie and Tig. Tig What was your forum name when it was started with Digital Spy,,,then we went onto G4 site.
Rainbowsong.
I am the Natalie that you know(I am friends with Shirley)
I know you Natalie, obviously! now I do know who Tig was!
Can we have smilies?
I've been a huge fan of G4 since I first saw them audition on the X Factor! My username was Molly on most forums. Wonderful to have G4 reunited again! Sadly ill health means I cannot get to see them live anymore but I still enjoy all their music and albums....Like Kay I wish we could have smilies on here too! x x
Hi Jill, I think we've met. It's such a shame when ill health keeps you from seeing the boys. At least we currently have some tv, radio and press things to entertain us as well as the music. Don't forget Jon on Loose Women today. x
Great to find you here, Molly. Of course! You are Jill! ...
another thing I want for the forum, technically, is to be able to edit the post. I can't even edit what I am typing as the cursor doesn't settle in the right place
Hi Tig - where did we meet? Was it at one of the concerts? Nice to be on here......And I am loving all the radio and press things and so excited for Loose Women today. ....Kay yes we need a few technical improvements on the forum here - are there any moderators or someone in charge of the forum who could help? It's lovely to have a G4 forum again though - I'm so hoping people will post on here and make it a success. I still pop onto Jonathans solo forum but there seems to be so much "hacking" if that is the right word? It's hard to find the posts on there because of all the rubbish stuff that is posted - it puts me off going on there sadly..... x x
Jill, from your pic I am sure we have met at concerts but I couldn't say which. I totally agree with what you say above. It doesn't look as if there are any mods, no named ones anyway.
I've suggested on Jonathan's forum that everyone pops over here but no one answered. I'm not trying to take them away, I think there's room for both, but like you I hardly bother to go there nowadays because of all the junk and spam, and whenever I post there it generates a load of spam emails which are sometimes quite unpleasant.
I agree with Kay about the technical stuff too. I think it would be nice to put this forum into some kind of order, for example to pin threads like 'INTRODUCTIONS' so people see that first, rather than have separate introductory threads by individuals. I think keeping them together will encourage activity.
Still I guess it's early days and the boys are obviously very busy, I haven't even got my membership pack yet which I am disappointed about.
Hi everyone,
Nice to see a little more action on here! I know there are other forms of social media but it's good to have a forum too - it's not everyone's taste these days, but some of us enjoy a good discussion and hopefully everything will stay positive and good natured. It must be difficult for the boys to keep everything updated as well as doing their main job of entertaining us lucky folk, especially with the new (brilliant!) album out, but if this forum takes off, I hope they'll find some way of moderating it to keep it fresh, updated and encourage new posts and members.
Anyway, I'm Norma and I know many of you from other forums etc. The 'Wise Owl' bit came from the dim and distant past days of G4-Online, but Mike Christie still refers to me by it, so I presume I'm stuck with it!!! I don't mind, as I love owls almost as much as I love G4 (possibly a bit more? hmm, not sure about that), but have never been certain about the 'wise' bit - don't know where that came from, as I definitely aren't very wise!! xxx
Hi Norma, nice to see you over here. I agree with what you are saying about the forum. I wouldn't be so rude as to agree with what you say about not being wise! LOL. x
Thanks Tig. And thanks for being so diplomatic about the 'wise' bit lol! I've only just got a certain G4 member trained not to say 'Wise OLD Owl', which does ruffle my feathers a bit more ! xx
Yes it's a very busy time for G4 at the moment - with all the album stuff and trying to promote it as much as possible. Hopefully when things get a bit quieter for them they may be able to look into helping this Forum to evolve. It would be lovely if it really took off and became a place where all the fans come to chat etc ......I loved the old G4 online forum and Jonathans forum when it first started off - shame it is suffering the spam stuff now. Facebook is great - but there is nothing like a good old G4 debate on a forum dedicated to them ....I miss being able to discuss things with fellow fans. Anyway it's nice to see a few people on here - fingers crossed more will find it as time goes on. x x
Nice to have you here Norma.
I agree with Molly. I prefer good long debate on forum. I only read Jonathan and G4's tweet. I don't do small post. well, I can't keep up with the quick turn out either. By the time I caught the topic, it's normally moved onto other topic. I don't watch mobile for new posts!
Hi everyone 👋 I somehow missed a link to this forum in an old e-mail so didn't realise it existed this morning. Some of you I already know. I saw G4 Mark1 (as I call them) 3 times in their final year and continued to support them individually during the years they were apart. This time around the boys are in the driving seat controlling everything and have learnt from experience. They have matured as artists and are producing mind blowing arrangements. I have made lifelong friends through G4 and meet new friends at every concert. Long may it continue. Maureen xxxx
Hi Maureen, my story is similar and I agree with what you say about the boys. I don't think you are the only one who didn't know about the forum. Hopefully it will go from strength to strength and the boys will join in when they can.
